Texas Trading Group brings together students who are curious about markets and serious about learning how they actually work. We combine weekly lessons, market discussions, and simulated trading to create a practical introduction to sales and trading. Over the course of a 12 week program, members develop a strong foundation across equities, bonds, FX, commodities, and derivatives while learning to think like market professionals.
Trading Mindset & Idea Pitching
At Texas Trading Group, we treat markets as something to actively engage with, not just read about. Members learn to follow price action, track macro trends, and develop real opinions on what is moving markets. Those ideas turn into structured trade pitches that are presented to the group and tested in a simulated portfolio. The goal is to build the mindset of a trader: thinking critically, forming a clear thesis, managing risk, and learning how to communicate an investment idea with confidence.

Markets move fast, and TTG gives members a place to make sense of it all. Each week we break down major headlines, from interest rate decisions and equity earnings to energy markets, currencies, crypto, and real estate. Our member driven market newsletter highlights key trends and trade ideas, while open discussions encourage different perspectives across sectors and asset classes. These conversations help students stay informed, sharpen their views, and learn how real market professionals analyze the world.
Community & Mentorship
Texas Trading Group is more than a finance club. It is a community of students learning and growing together.
